Prepare to worship by reading:

Acknowledge your sin to God by reading:

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! Rejoice in God’s grace by reading:

Confess what you believe by reading:

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed. (EFCA Statement of Faith)

Missionary Update from the Sammons:

From Steve & Monica Sammons, missionaries to Costa Rica, in the USA, on how this time of Covid-19 is affecting them:

We are doing well. Monica continues to watch Oliver.  I (Steve) am mainly doing videos and writing, in addition to planning for a church planting conference in Costa Rica in August - our May trip was canceled. It looks like our helping of a Spanish church on the weekends is coming to an end, though I am recording some videos for them through this month.

Be encouraged this week by reading:

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20–21 ESV)

 Questions:

1. Psalm 103 lists many benefits that come from the Lord. Which of these are most difficult for you to remember? Why?
2. One way Psalm 103 praises the Lord is by remembering how brief human life is. Why is this a cause for worship in these verses? How does this encourage you?
3. In Psalm 103 the writer intentionally talks himself into blessing the Lord. How do you need to do this?
