EDWARDO SILVA (ASSOCIATE AND SPANISH MINISTRIES PASTOR)
Edwardo and his wife, Gloria—along with their three children—joined the Lake Murray family in 2013, when our ministry to the Spanish-speaking community was born. He then took on the additional role of Associate Pastor in 2020. From the start, Edwardo has been a pillar in our Hispanic ministry. He has a passion for the Word of God, making him a great teacher and expositor of the Bible. He also leads the church in outreach and evangelism (amongst other things). He graduated from San Diego Christian College in 2014 with a B.A. in Christian Ministries, and in 2016 he officially became our Associate Pastor of Spanish Ministries. Edwardo enjoys watching football and grilling out. He also loves inviting people over to his home for carne asada and pollo asado, and you’ll often find him manning the grill at church-wide events.
BOB BENTHIN (PASTOR OF PASTORAL CARE)
Bob has been serving as our pastor of pastoral care since 2002, when he was licensed by our church. With the loving shepherd’s heart God has gifted him with, he loves to reach out to the needy, the hurting, and the less fortunate in our community to offer comfort and encouragement. He also oversees our ministry to the elderly, faithfully serving our senior citizens with the grace of God. Bob enjoys spending time with his wife, Annette, going on walks, and taking care of his grandchildren. Here at Lake Murray, you’ll always find Bob greeting you as you walk through our foyer; he’s usually the first smiling face you see on Sunday mornings!
BRIAN NEYNABER (MUSIC DIRECTOR)
Brian has been leading the worship ministry of our church since 2013. He has a degree in business management from San Diego State University, a major which helps him in his role of leading and developing our music ministry team. Brian and his wife, Bethany, are local San Diegans, too, so when he’s not playing music, you’ll frequently find him and Bethany hiking through San Diego’s beautiful trails, playing tennis, or riding their mountain bikes. He is passionate about worship, and every week he looks forward to joining with the church in the worship of our Lord through music.
